Application & Data Specialist

We are looking for a hands-on and analytical professional to strengthen our IT team and help drive digitalization, data-driven decision making and system optimization across Xandres.

THE ROLE

As our Application & Data Specialist, you play a key role in connecting business and technology, with a strong focus on leveraging data, fostering innovation, and exploring AI opportunities. You will ensure that our applications, data, and processes not only run smoothly and efficiently, but also support smart decision-making and continuous improvement.

You report to the IT manager and will be part of a small, dynamic IT team. In this role you will collaborate closely with multiple external partners and internal departments such as Finance, Retail, Wholesale, E-commerce and Logistics.

As our Application & Data Specialist, you will be responsible for:

Applications

• Managing and optimizing core business applications (ERP, POS, E-comm, Microsoft Fabric, …)
• Coordinating application releases, incidents and change requests
• Supporting key users with functional questions and issues
• Testing and documenting new features, updates and integrations
• Monitoring and troubleshooting applications, integrations and scripts

Data & reporting

• Managing and enhancing data models and reporting in Power BI and Business Objects
• Ensuring data quality and maintenance of master data
• Contributing to the development of our Modern Data Platform in Microsoft Fabric
• Together with our business analyst, set-up a structured and well-organized reporting environment for all business users

Innovation & AI

• As an AI champion, pro-actively advise the business on technological possibilities and best practices
• Setting up and managing the innovation & AI roadmap within the company
• Driving digitalization and innovation projects, including AI pilots and process automation (eg conversational BI, AI demand forecast solutions, internal and external chatbots, …)

YOUR COMPETENCIES

You have proven knowledge and experience in:

• Application management or ERP environments
• Data analysis and reporting tools such as Power BI, SQL, or similar
• Managing integrations and data flows between systems
• Microsoft 365, Azure
• Understanding of retail, wholesale or e-commerce processes is a plus

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor/master degree in IT, informatics or related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in application management, data and reporting
• Affinity with digital transformation and continuous improvement
• Fluent in English
